Without a shared view of objectives, your project risks stalling or not reaching its full potential. |

The broad aim of the CSS model is routine practice that is evidence-based, safe and of high quality.
|
|
Your project will break this aim into smaller components and may have more specific objectives that are particularly relevant to your patient group and care system.
Your project objectives will influence your project plan and need to be agreed by the core multidisciplinary team, including the consumer representative(s).

|
|
Reaching agreement about project objectives may take time, with team members varying in their:
- reasons for being involved in the project;
- perceptions of priorities and areas of chief interest; and
- interpretations of key terms and concepts.
|
|
These differences will need to be clarified so that all participants have a shared understanding of what the project is seeking to achieve.
