Project Design >> Forming multidisciplinary teams
g. Multiple supporting teams
Depending on project scope and representation from all
key stakeholders, your core team might be quite large
in number. You may choose to delegate day-to-day project
management to a project executive:
- In this case, the relationship between the core team
and its executive needs to be clearly articulated to ensure
that all participants are comfortable with the decision-making
process.
Your core team may also form a number of small working
groups to focus on specific project tasks. Participation
in discrete working groups may be attractive to some clinicians
and consumers because:
- it is time-limited, or
- its
tasks reflects a particular area of personal interest
and/or expertise.
Hence, working groups create the opportunity to expand
the number of people involved within the project.
