Intervention >> Continuous communication

Continuous communication between your core team and the wider project team is important to sustain engagement.

To keep people informed, your project could:

  • develop regular newsletters for wide dissemination on interesting aspects of the project’s activities;
  • prepare articles for existing staff newsletters; and/or
  • have regular presentations about the project at various meetings or forums.

There is, however, no easy answer on how to continuously communicate effectively with your wider project team. Multiple strategies are required.

  "Our project struggled with communication, despite ongoing efforts to improve… Even at project end, many staff members still did not have a good understanding of the project. Communication is an area where it would appear that one can never do enough. What is communicated though must be relevant, concise, timely and meaningful to each individual."
